SO - ersten Tag abgearbeitet - erwartete Ergebnisse in den Finals.. Nervenkrieg um Holzdeppe und Schwanitz, aber letztlich souverän. Farah ist einfach nicht zu knacken, aber die Kenianer haben es versucht. Überraschend, dass die Äthiopier überhaupt nicht zu sehen waren.
Aus DLV-Sicht gibt es eigentlich nichts zu meckern. Dass Paech bei seiner ersten großen Meisterschaft knapp scheitert, ist nicht dramatisch. Von Schembera war nicht mehr zu erwarten, Sven Knipphals hat ein gutes Rennen gezeigt. Gierisch knapp im Finale, das ist ein Erfolg, finde ich.
Julian Reus mit der besten Zeit (10,14s) eines Deutschen bei einer internationalen Meisterschaft überhaupt !!!! Das ist doch, bei aller Kritik an den Sprintern, aller Ehren wert... Dass die anderen reihenweise schon im Vorlauf unter 10,00s laufen, zeigt aber, wo es hingeht.
Ein bisschen enttäuschend fand ich die Leistungen der Mehrkämpferinnen. Vor allem von Caro Schäfer hätte ich nach dem großen Auftritt von Götzis etwas mehr erwartet, aber ihre Zeit kommt sicher noch.
