lmost a home match @winterlaufserie_rheinzabern Good to be back after a few rounds without me due to Covid and my stay in the US in the past years.

It must have been in 2009 that I ran the 10k in Rheinzabern for the first time, eventually placing 4th in 33:16, which was a regional U18 record at that time. It actually stood until 2022, when @lxzeh (Lennart Zehfeld), who came 3rd last Sunday, beat it running 32:06.

15 years since my debut in Rheinzabern and finally making my way into the record books means a lot. Back in 2017, when Clemens Bleistein set the previous record, I came 4th and swore to myself that one day, it'll be mine. 7 years, 29 minutes, and 25 seconds later that goal came true!

Whenever I can, Rheinzabern is a set date in the racing calendar and coming here feels like coming home! Always went there with my family and team mates, met and made friends there, and have most of them still around til today.
