Das wurde in Spanien getestet, nicht in Frankreich. Die Franzosen waren Befürworter der Verkürzung der Strecke und Vorreiter der immer schneller werdenden Rennen (im wahrsten Sinne des Wortes). Die Spanier haben viel entwickelt, weil das Gehen bei ihnen ein angesehener Sport ist. Vermutlich auch aufgrund der großen Erfolge ihrer Athleten auf nahezu allen Distanzen. Sie haben den Weltverband eine Dokumentation ihrer Tests vorgelegt und daneben auch die Gerätschaften benannt, die es zur Umsetzung bräuchte. Das war vor mehr als einem Jahr und passiert, ist bislang noch nichts. Selbst wenn die Technik nicht zu 100% ausgereift ist und auch hier eine Grauzone existieren könnte (wie das Beeinflussen der Messung durch zu hohe Frequenz), ist es immer noch skalierbarer/fairer als das menschliche Augenmaß.
