Angeblich liegen die Gründe teils in den steilen kurven und relativ schmalen Bahnen. Die Athleten konnten auch nicht auf der Bahn probelaufen (Quigley berichtet, sie habe sich im Parkhaus warmgelaufen).
Ich habe noch nie vorher eine Hallen-Meisterschaft so engmaschig verfolgt, aber dass es praktisch in jeder Rundbahnvorlaufreihe einige DQ, über 400m sehr viele (darunter mehrere TopfavoritInnen) gab, finde ich verheerend.
Ich verstehe, dass man "nur konsequent den Regeln folgt", aber das ist extrem kontraproduktiv. Entweder müssen die Regeln geändert werden oder vernünftiger (nämlich nur bei echter Behinderung oder "Abkürzung") angewendet werden.
