Das Problem ist hier einfach, dass der DLV gerade im Fall Graumann nicht mit Fingerspitzengefühl nominiert hat. Es ist ja nicht so, dass sie sich sklavisch an die IAAF-Normen gehalten haben. Nein, in manchen Fallen wurden diese Normen verschärft, und teilweise kann man das verstehen.
Dann muss man aber auch umgekehrt nach Ablauf des Normzeitraums vielleicht einsehen, dass es auch Disziplinen gibt, wo die IAAF vielleicht in die andere Richtung zu weit gegangen ist. Graumann steht im Weltvergleich nun einmal wesentlich besser da als manche DLV-Norm-Erfüller.
Im Weltverband sitzen ja auch schließlich keine Hellseher, und man kann sich bei der Einschätzung der Normen auch mal irren. Genau dafür gibt es ja die Einladungen, um das auszugleichen. Wenn jeder Verband nur diejenigen mit IAAF A-Normen nach London entsendet, wäre das Feld im Hochsprung der Damen sehr dünn besetzt.
