Letztendlich stochern wir alle im Nebel und können nichts anderes machen als uns bis zum nächsten Jahr zu gedulden.Mein Punkt war nicht, dass Krause weniger Verbesserungspotential als Coburn hat. Sondern dass beide ihr Potential schon so weit ausgeschöpft haben, dass mit (deutlichen) Verbesserungen eher nicht mehr zu rechnen ist.
2012 waren Coburn und Krause auf 2/100 gleichstark 9:23,5
2014 war Coburn bei 9:11 wie Krause 2017
2016 war Coburn bei 9:07, dann 9:02 2017-19, d.h. sie hat sich deutlich schneller gesteigert, wurde inzwischen aber fast wieder eingeholt, wobei Gesa für eine ähnliche Steigerung (16-20 sec.) seit 2012 2-3 Jahre länger brauchte. Und sie ist genau zweimal unter 9:10 gelaufen. Aufgrund solcher Zickzackbewegungen, sowohl innerhalb der Saison als auch in der Abfolge der letzten vier Jahre bin ich bei Krause skeptisch. Coburn ist eine stabile ca. 9:10-Läuferin (10mal schneller und dreimal 9:10,x). Krause ist manchmal nichtmal eine stabile 9:20 Läuferin, obwohl sie das schon vor 5 Jahren unterboten hat; sie war 2018-20 keine stabile 9:15 Läuferin, wie man erwarten könnte.
Die oft eher schwachen Leistungen Krauses außerhalb von Hindernis beim Saisonhöhepunkt sprechen dafür, dass sie optimal peaken kann, sie geben jedenfalls keine positiven Anhaltspunkte, dass da noch viel Luft ist; anders als bei den Amerikanerinnen, die in der laufenden Saison deutliche PB ohne Hindernisse gelaufen sind. Und die verbessern sich eben auch nicht mehr oder kaum noch, weil knapp über 9 min eben schon verdammt gut ist. Und wenn jemand seit >10 Jahren professionell mit hohen Umfängen trainiert, ist auch sekundär, ob man 28 oder 31 ist, dann sind Verbesserungen nicht sehr wahrscheinlich.
