Es gibt z. B. nicht nur einen Rolf Oesterreich (der sicherlich etwas vom Drehstoß versteht) oder andere Personen aus dem Osten, die etwas vom Drehstoß verstehen. Vielleicht kommt man mal auf den Gedanken, auch in Köln z. B. einen Stützpunkt Wurf/ Stoß zu etablieren.

Das sich der Bundestrainer mit Schmitt in Verbindung setzt ist sebstverständlich und schon aus rein organisatorischen Gründen bzgl. Peking erforderlich. Es besteht auch nicht die Notwendigkeit wegen
einer (!) guten Leistung sofort einen persönlichen Trainer für Thomas Schmitt zu installieren. Zumal z.B. mit Zöllkau ein Wurftrainer vor der Haustür ist, der sicher zu einer Kooperation bereit ist und der offenbar schon kontaktiert wurde.
Was den "Stützpunkt Wurf/Stoß" in Köln betrifft, so kann ich aus eigener Erfahrung sagen, dass der Wurf in von den kölner Vereinen (LTDSHS;ASV) jahrelang bewusst nicht gefördert wurde, da die Schwerpunkte eindeutig auf den Sprint-/Sprungdisziplinen und dem Mehrkampf lagen. Die Wurfgeige wird da schon eher in Leverkusen und Wattenscheid gespielt.
